The Dovestone Dress is a versatile summer maxi / knee length dress; it’s fitted across the bust and then flows loosely to the ground. The maxi dress has a central slit at the front to add a touch of drama and ease of movement, whilst the knee length dress is sewn to the hem.

A long drawstring tie allows the dress to be styled in multiple ways; either tied at the back, or front waist for added silhouette definition.

This is a paper pattern product, consisting of a high quality colour printed instruction booklet and three A0 printed sheets.

  • In order to sew this pattern, you will need the following supplies:

    > Fabric (refer to fabric requirements chart below).

    > Matching thread.

    Note:

    This pattern requires a long drawstring for the ties. It is assumed that you will make your own drawstring using the pattern piece D provided. However, you may prefer to purchase a 15mm (5/8”) flat drawstring instead; refer to fabric requirements chart below for length.

  • Light to medium weight woven fabrics with drape are recommended for this pattern.

    Consider using cotton lawn, viscose, rayon, Tencel, georgette, challis, or crepe de chine.
